Understanding your results.

The comparator shows the total cost of swapping a given amount of EUR into BTC, ETH, or USDT across different providers and payment methods. The result includes three components:

  • Deposit fee — what the provider charges to receive your funds (often €0 for SEPA, ~1.5% for card)
  • Conversion spread — the hidden margin between the mid-market rate and the rate you get
  • Withdrawal fee — what it costs to send the crypto to your wallet

The cheapest option is highlighted at the top. The savings between the best and worst provider can be 0.5% to 4% — on a €10,000 purchase, that is €50 to €400.

Common mistake: looking only at the "0% fee" tagline. Many providers advertise no trading fee but make it up on the spread. Always compare the all-in cost, not just the explicit fee.

How to use this tool.

Enter the token pair, the amount you're swapping, and the network. The tool pulls live quotes from 8 major DEX aggregators and returns a sorted list of the cheapest options including total fees, expected output, and estimated slippage.

Aggregators checked: 1inch, Matcha (0x), ParaSwap, KyberSwap, CowSwap, OpenOcean, Rango, and Uniswap. Each has its own routing logic and they often produce different prices for the same pair — sometimes the differences are 1–3%.

Pro tip: for large swaps (over $10k) the differences compound quickly. Always check at least 3 aggregators before committing. For very large trades, consider OTC desks to avoid slippage.

Frequently asked questions.

Which exchange has the lowest fees for EUR to BTC?
For SEPA transfers, ChangeNOW and Bybit typically offer the lowest all-in costs because they absorb most of the FX spread. For credit/debit cards, Coinbase often has higher interchange fees baked into the price. Our tool compares live quotes so you can see the cheapest option at the moment you check.
Card vs SEPA: which is cheaper?
SEPA is almost always cheaper for amounts over €500. Credit and debit cards add 1.5–2.5% interchange fees that the exchange passes through as a worse conversion rate. SEPA transfers take 1–2 business days but save you that margin. For small amounts (under €100) the convenience of card may be worth the small premium.
Why do fees differ so much between providers?
Each provider uses a different fee model: some add a spread to the mid-market rate, some charge a flat fee + spread, and others use a tiered structure based on volume. They also have different liquidity sources and banking partners, which affects their cost base. That is why checking 3–4 providers before a swap can save you 1–3%.
Do I pay spread + fee? What's the difference?
Yes, most providers charge both. The spread is the difference between the mid-market rate and the rate you actually get — it's the provider's hidden margin. The fee is the explicit charge (e.g., "0.5% service fee"). Our comparator shows you the total cost including both, so you can compare apples to apples.
Is ChangeNOW cheaper than Coinbase or Kraken?
For SEPA transfers, ChangeNOW often beats Coinbase and Kraken on all-in cost because it operates with lower overhead and passes fewer FX fees. For credit card purchases, Bybit sometimes matches or beats ChangeNOW. However, rates change daily. Always check the live comparison before making a decision.
What about KYC?
KYC requirements vary by provider. Coinbase and Kraken require full identity verification (ID document, selfie). ChangeNOW requires KYC above certain thresholds. Bybit also requires verification for fiat on-ramps. All legitimate providers require at least basic KYC for EUR transactions due to EU regulations.
How accurate are these estimates?
Our estimates pull live prices from CoinGecko and combine them with known fee structures from each provider. They are accurate to within ~0.2% of the actual rate you'd get at the time of the transaction. The spread component is estimated from typical values and may vary by 0.1–0.3% depending on market volatility.
How do you make money?
