How We Test.
Last updated: 5 June 2026
Every review on AHCrypto follows a consistent, transparent methodology. Here is exactly how we evaluate every product.
Our Testing Framework
We believe a review is only as good as the methodology behind it. Every product we cover is tested across five core dimensions, each scored on a 1–10 scale:
Audit history, self-custody support, smart contract risk, 2FA/MFA options, insurance coverage, and track record of hoots or breaches.
Interface clarity, onboarding friction, mobile experience, navigation depth, and accessibility for both beginners and power users.
Available order types, staking, earn products, swap functionality, charting tools, API access, automation, and unique product differentiators.
Trading fees, withdrawal costs, deposit methods, spread markups, hidden charges, and how the fee schedule changes with volume or holding.
Response times, resolution quality, live chat availability, knowledge base depth, community support channels, and whether you can actually reach a human.
Each dimension is weighted by importance. Security and fees carry the heaviest weighting for exchanges; usability and support carry more weight for wallets. The final score is a weighted average — not a simple mean — so the overall rating reflects what actually matters for that product category.
Every review also includes dated screenshots and data. You will always know whether the fees, UI, or asset list shown in a review reflects the current version of the product.
Who Tests
Every review on AHCrypto is written by a real human with hands-on crypto experience. We do not use AI-generated text for reviews, and we do not publish anything we have not personally tested.
Our editorial team comes from backgrounds in fintech, software engineering, and cryptocurrency trading. We have used every product we review — often for weeks or months, not just the minimum testing period. When a reviewer has a specific credential relevant to a review (such as having worked with a particular blockchain or having a security certification), it is noted in the article.
If we lack the expertise to properly evaluate a product, we do not review it. We would rather send you to a specialist than publish a shallow take.
Affiliate Disclosure
AHCrypto uses affiliate links. When you click an affiliate link and sign up or make a purchase, we may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you. Here is the full disclosure page: Affiliate Disclosure.
A few principles we hold ourselves to: We only recommend products we genuinely believe in. Affiliate relationships never affect scores, rankings, or the content of a review. If we would not use a product ourselves, we do not recommend it — even if it has a generous affiliate program.
Every article with affiliate links is clearly marked so there is never any ambiguity about which links support the site.
Updates & Corrections
Crypto moves fast. Products change their fee structures, add features, get hacked, or shut down. We review every published article at least once per quarter to verify the information is still accurate. Major changes — such as a security incident, a significant redesign, or a pricing overhaul — trigger an immediate re-review.
Each review displays a "Last updated" date so you can gauge how current the information is. If a product has changed significantly since a review was published, we either update the review or add a callout noting what has changed.
If we make a mistake, we correct it publicly. Each correction is logged with what changed, when, and why. We do not quietly edit errors — transparency applies to us too. To flag outdated or incorrect information, email us and we will review the issue within 48 hours.
What We Do Not Cover
To preserve the integrity of our reviews, we have hard boundaries on what we will not do:
- No paid placements. You cannot buy a spot in our reviews, rankings, or buying guides. Every product earns its position based on our testing, not its marketing budget.
- No sponsored reviews. We do not accept payment to review a product. If we cover a product, it is because we decided it was worth our readers' attention.
- No promotional content disguised as reviews. Sponsored posts, native ads, and paid press releases are not published on AHCrypto. If something is an ad, it will be labelled as such — and it will never sit alongside a review as if it were editorial content.
These boundaries are non-negotiable. They are what make AHCrypto worth reading, and we will not compromise them.
